We are giving differently abled people opportunities to thrive in society.
About us
Target Skills
Programs are designed to allow participants to develop social, physical, and life skills at their own pace while fostering a warm, positive, and safe environment. Focusing on self-esteem is a key ingredient to success.
Community
The friendly environment and caring people that work with Friends In Need’s programs and events build strong connections between volunteers and participants.
Goals
At the end of the day, Friends In Need wants to help differently abled individuals have positive community-based activities. The leaders and volunteers of the programs provide instruction in skills to participate fully throughout all our events.
What Does a Typical Event Look Like?
Friends In Need provides a variety of ways to get differently abled people engaged both physically and socially. Though our free sports programs, TOP Soccer and TOP Basket, we bring individuals and volunteers together to experience the joy of sports.
Social, interactive games like bingo are another community-building avenue. We have also conducted market simulations to foster independence by teaching shopping skills.

How Do Donations Help the Organization?
Donations are vital for the organization and greatly appreciated. They help fund future projects and events by purchasing necessary equipment or renting event space.
